Unassign a Reuseable Asset from a Termed User Notes: To check if an asset will be reused, check the model number and date on the back of the computer. Any asset less than 3 years old can be reused. Reference the asset standard to know if it will be reused or retired. Computers that need to be unassigned and wiped to be reused will need the following done. Unassigned in Entra Unassigned in Fresh Service Deleted from Ninja Unassign in Entra Navigate to Entra On the left side of the screen, choose "Devices" and "All Devices". In the search bar, type the asset number. The device should automatically pop up as an option to click. Choose the device. Choose "Manage" in the list of options to the right under the device name. In the list directly under the device name, select "Properties". Unassign the device by clicking on "Remove Primary User". Make sure to save the changes by choosing "Save" located towards the top of the page. Double check the asset is unassigned. Search for the device again in the search bar. Next to "Owner", it should show "None". You can also choose "Manage" and make sure the primary user is set to "None". Unassign in Fresh Service In Fresh Service, on the left side, choose "Assets" and "Inventory. Search for the asset in the search box. Choose the name under the "Display Name" column. On the right hand side, under "Edit Properties", locate the drop-down box labeled "Used By". Click the "x" next to the user's name to remove it. Update to apply changes. Go back to the assets list. Search for the asset and make sure it's no longer assigned to anyone. Delete from Ninja Choose "Devices" from the left hand side. Use the search bar to find the asset. Select "Settings" from the options located under the asset name. Remove access in Ninja by click on the trash can icon located in the top right part of the screen.
